I mostly write fiction: novels and short stories. Now and then, I’m inspired to write a deeply personal essay.

You can read a selection here which include coming to terms with my mother’s death after a fraught mother-daughter relationship, links between motherhood, madness, and creativity, as well as a piece on my long-term partnership, a love that has lasted now for over 35 years.
